I have taken 2 vehicles to have repaired at this establishment. Let me say upfront that office staff is very pleasant and professional, but the practices of the actual shop are less than favorable. The last time I had work done here it left a really impression. I dropped off vehicle to have minor work completed for a reasonable price. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Even though they weren’t ultimately able to rebuild my transmission, the team here went above and beyond to help me out. They took the time to thoroughly inspect my car, clearly explained what was going on, and were completely honest about what they could and couldn’t do. the price seemed fair despite extensive damage (was scared i totaled the vehicle), the repair was completed in about 2 days and there was even a good attempt to fix the body work of the vehicle enough to be visually indistinguishable from OEM. kind and understanding staff whom coordinated the repair over the phone with no issue. all other problems found on inspection were clearly reported to me both vocally over the phone, at the point of sale, AND even by the mechanic who worked on my vehicle, whom walked me through his rep... read more

American 5 Star was recommended to me by one of my son's friends. I brought over a 1999 SL500 with a slipping transmission, which had been looked at by another garage only a short time before, which they were unable to repair. Expecting having to have the transmission replaced for a pretty penny, I was most pleasantly surprised that Eric (owner) and Nick (technician) were able to fix the issue along with a few other recommended maintenance items in no time, at a very reasonable price.
