I have had Waterloo (in Dover) and now in Akron work on a few of my cars. Each time the were knowledgeable and honest. The Acura dealer told me I needed to replace my transmission but I had the car towed here and James said the owner personally inspected it and diagnosed it as an engine misfire and in need of a tune up. They did that and the car is running very well since. Thank you!

I was able to use their financial plan through SNAP to pay for the part that needed replaced, which was super helpful. The only complaint I have is that the communication could be improved. I was told more than once that they'd give me a call but I never heard from them. I had to reach out to them a few times to get an update on the car. I have two jobs so I was a bit anxious to get my car back. I understand they're a busy shop, but a simple text or call back real quick to let me know what was going on would've been apprecia... read more

I would AVOID this place like the plague! Pure bait and switch tactics. I was told they would charge me $88.87 to put my car on the rack and diagnose the transmission problems I was having. After the inspection, they said I needed a new transmission which was going to be over $6800. When I pressed them for a rebuilt option they offer one for almost $6300. My car started getting very hard to shift between gears. I finally set up an appointment at the Akron location when it began having issues actually showing what gear it was in. I'd go to start it and it would show park on the dash, but wouldn't crank at all and I'd have to shift to reverse then back to park to get it started. Within 2 business days, Waterloo transmission had it diagnosed as the transmission range sensor causing all of the issues. They had the part ordered and replaced it. Paid for complete CVT transmission that was not done right and two times they never told me that on the transmission pan said DO NOT SERVICE RIGHT ON THE TRANSMISSION they said they changed the filter and fluid but all they did was drain 3 qt and put in three twice that is not a flush right after the second service the transmission sent a code low pump pressure took it right back next day they cleared the code and said drive it this weekend and if it dose it again come in Monday morning.
